My three cats Mia, Max and Simon love to create Picatsos.  Whenever I take out the iPad they think it is time to paint.  Simon is especially fond of creating works of art so he has created the majority of the Picatsos.  My sister's 8 week old kitten also got into the act creating his own Picatso on Christmas Day.

How do they do it?  The cats try to "catch" a mouse that goes across the iPad screen.  When the cats touch the screen it leaves either a paint splatter or a paw print depending on how hard they touch the screen.  When they "catch" the mouse it lets out a squeak and leaves a larger paint splatter.  Each Picatso is different and the duration to create a Picatso varies.  The cats only "paint" when they feel like it for as long as they are interested in the activity.  They are never forced so days may go by without any creations.  Eventually, we may offer custom Picatsos.

Our goal is to get the shelter cats into the act of creating works of art that the shelters will be able to sell and keep all of the profits.  The Picatsos created by my own cats will benefit Kids 4 Paws www.kids4paws.net, Starfish Cat and Kitten Rescue, and Humane Society of Central TX.  Kids 4 Paws is currently fundraising for the fees associated with 501 (c) (3) application process.
